We offer translation service so that you can have menus, product offerings and other information in your guest or business partner’s native language.
We take a personal approach to our translations to make sure the client’s needs are addressed. We not only try to translate the words, but we want to understand about your business or product and the feeling you are trying to convey to the target audience. Whenever possible we will visit the site such as for a hotel, or try the advertised product ourselves in order to better understand the task.
Translation Process – We use a structured system to make sure that your translation is performed accurately, quickly and to the top grammatical standard.
Initial Review – We first review the whole text that you want to be translated and consult with you to make sure that there are no misunderstandings in the meaning of the text. We may suggest that you make changes based upon the target audience or for items that would not be understood in the target language (e.g. place names or technical terms). Translation – The actual translation is performed by our staff. This is done by manually reading the original text and making sure the intended meaning is preserved in the target language. Proofread – The translated text is proofread by our staff for accuracy, grammar and spelling. The final proofreading is always performed by a native speaker. Final Review – The text is reviewed with the client to make sure everything was translated as desired.Page/Word Count – Our translations are priced per page. One page is based on A4 size, double spaced, 12 pt Times New Roman font, standard page margins. On average there are on 300-350 words on a standard page of English text. For items that are not standard spaced (menus, websites, etc) we will estimate the number of pages based on word count or charachter count.
Special Items – Text that must be translated in place (to fit certain spacing, etc) or text that is not available in electronic format may incur additional charges.
Turnaround Time – Most jobs of 20 pages or less can be finished in 1 week. For rush jobs, additional charges may apply.
